I got into playing music when I was young because I wanted to be one of the cool kids. I learned the music part ok I guess, but being one of the cool kids never really happened. All these years later, the music is still happening. I think I got the better end of the deal.
ABOUT Juliet Hotel...
I can recall the exact the moment as a teenager, when something clicked and I realized that I didn't have to only play other people's music. I realized that I was also allowed to create music of my own. And so it began.
I started then and never really stopped. I've worked with more than my fair share of bands and projects over the years. But all the while my own writing was still going on at home. Like most creative endeavors, this one eventually got the point where I had to put a name on it. Juliet Hotel was the name that just seemed to fit.
Its the outlet for the music that I make when no one else is paying the bill. The music I make for no other reason than because I want to. The music I make by letting my fingers wander until they produce that spark that catches my ear and makes me go wow, let's see where this leads. Enjoy.
